The Bay Area Green Business Program was developed to reduce hazardous and solid waste generation, conserve resources and prevent pollution. The program is coordinated by the Association of Bay Area Governments, which represents the region’s nine counties and 101 cities. The Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC), part of the California Environmental Protection Agency, works with the Program to help businesses and government agencies reduce the amount of hazardous waste generated.
