San Lorenzo, CA, February 17, 2023 – Oro Loma Sanitary District has won two awards: The CSRMA 2022 Workers’ Compensation Award and the CWEA 2022 Collection System of the Year Award.
The California Sanitation Risk Management Authority (CSRMA) found Oro Loma’s commitment to safety and its culture of safety to be extraordinary.
The Workers’ Compensation Excellence Award represents an effort by staff, management, and the Board to go above and beyond to provide a safe workplace. The criteria for selection included state-of-the-art best practices for safety management and injury prevention.
The second recognition was by the California Water Environment Association (San Francisco Bay Section) (CWEA) with the Collection System of the Year Award. CWEA recognized Oro Loma for its commitment, mission, and implementation of sanitary practices to protect public health and the environment.
Oro Loma has been acknowledged for its outstanding sanitary sewer service and forward-thinking approaches. The award is given in recognition of outstanding maintenance programs, regulatory compliance, and safety and training procedures.
Oro Loma’s General Manager, Jimmy Dang, stated “We commend the staff, and management involved for their ongoing commitment to excellence and their leadership in creating a safe workplace culture.
“These awards are proof of the high standards the District has set for its processes, staff, and management. We are honored to receive these recognitions,” he added.
