Get a First-Hand Look at How Your Wastewater Treatment Plant Works.

When:   9:30 am – Second Wednesday of February, May, August, November

Where: 2600 Grant Avenue, San Lorenzo, CA 94580

The tours require walking or standing for up to 60 minutes.

This is a working plant. Children under the age of 8 are not allowed.

For your safety: Tour guests should wear a shoe that covers the whole foot such as athletic shoes or walking shoes. Those wearing flip flops or sandals will not be allowed to take the tour.

If you are interested in a Special Tour, please call the District at (510) 276-4700 to schedule a date and time. Special Tours are conducted on dates other than those reserved for Quarterly Public Tours and are subject to staff availability.

Special Tour guests are responsible for bringing an adequate number of adult chaperones as outlined below:

Student age Required Student/Adult Ratio
8 -11 years old 1 chaperone per 7 students
12 – 18 years old 1 chaperone per 10 students
